Eileen and I both completed the practical portion of the North Carolina Certified Beekeeper course this past weekend.
This is an entry level certification but covers the essential of getting started in beekeeping and is the first step in becoming a Master Beekeeper.
Beekeeping can be a fairly expensive endeavor and having the knowledge base from these certification levels can be a big help in preventing the loss of your investment – not to mention the loss of another colony of bees!
